Giveaway Details

Student Life is giving away to one student who completes the Orientation Week Questions quiz either a mini Laptop Computer OR, if they prefer, a gift on their behalf to support a Community School in Zambia for a year! More details on the TEAR community school can be found at:

Students must be currently enrolled at one of the campuses listed at the start of the quiz. If you have completed a quiz in person (eg. you did one on campus), then your name is already in the draw!
Please be aware that this is not a lottery or competition. The prize is being given away by (Student Life to a person of their choosing (see below for further details). Entry is free, your answers will not affect your chance to win the prize, provided that you give honest sensible answers.
The purpose of Orientation Week Questions is for students to think about some questions that really matter, with the prize as an added incentive.
Selection of Winner
The winner will be revealed at a special prize draw on 31th March 2010. You do not need to be present to win the prize. When you complete the quiz you will receive an email confirming that your name is in the draw, so please make sure your email address is correct.
The winner will be selected at random out of all eligible entries.
Student Life may disqualify entries according to the following guidelines:
  • You must be currently enrolled as a student at the university can campus you indicated
    (Your Student ID Card may be required to accept the prize).
  • Your student email address and name must be genuine.
  • You have one chance to win, no matter how many times you do the quiz.
  • You have an additional chance to win for each person you invite (via a referal link we send you via email) who then completes a valid quiz.
  • Please do not submit answers on behalf of your friends. Tell them about it instead!
  • 'Junk' answers (eg. "don't know" or nonsense or random text) will disqualify your entry. The deal is that you think for a few minutes and answer honestly in exchange for a chance to win.
  • Automated submissions and duplicate submissions will be disqualified. (You cannot hit the back button and resubmit with a different name / email.)
  • If there is any other reason to suspect cheating or abuse, (Student Life may disqualify suspect entries.
  • (Student Life staff including affiliate and volunteer members are ineligible to participate in the draw.

In the event of a dispute arrising Student Life reserves the right to be sole abitrator on these matters except where this right might contravene applicable law. Student Life will seek to adjudicate in a fair and equitable manner.

Privacy of Personal Details
We treat your privacy seriously and remind our volunteers and staff of the importanance of this. Orientation Week Questions runs in accordance with our privacy policy.
A phone number is required for us to call you in case you win the prize. Unless you ask us to, we will not contact you. Your student email address is required to prove that you are an enrolled student. You will receive an email confirming that your name is entered into the draw.
If the winner is uncontactable (eg. incorrect email address or phone number or they do not reply within 14 days), another winner will be chosen, and the original winner will be disqualified.
